Last updated: 11 July 2026
Quota Books Limited ("Quota Books", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use quotabooks.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
Quota Books Limited is a company registered in England & Wales, company number 12132129, registered office at The Studio, 197 Hammersmith Grove, London, W6 0NP. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Contact us about privacy matters at info [at] quotabooks.com.
What data we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run this site:
- Contact form: the name, email address and message you submit through our contact form.
- Purchases: when you buy a book or DVD directly from us, payment and delivery details (name, address, email, card information) are collected and processed by our payment provider, Stripe — not stored on our own servers.
- Amazon and Audible purchases: if you buy through an Amazon or Audible link, your data is collected and controlled by Amazon/Audible under their own privacy policies; we never see that information.
We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising pixels on this site.
Why we collect it
- To respond to enquiries sent through the contact form.
- To process and fulfil orders placed directly with us (books and DVDs).
- To meet our legal obligations, for example UK tax and accounting record-keeping.
Who we share it with
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions on our behalf.
- Stripe — processes payments for direct purchases and handles your card details under its own PCI-compliant security standards.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, for any reason.
How long we keep it
Contact form enquiries are kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry, and no longer than 12 months. Order and payment records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax law requirements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict how we use your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email info [at] quotabooks.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
